Worshipful Company of Spectacle Makers Invite Claire to be part of the Lord Mayor’s Show.
Since the 1600’s the WCSM have been engaged charitable works and education of all those training in optics.
The Worshipful Company was founded by a Royal Charter by Charles 1 in 1629. Since that time the Company has championed the education of professions connected with the health of the eyes and the correction of impaired vision. In addition, it is renowned for its many philanthropic and charitable works.
Livery company members of the WCSM can vote for the next Lord Mayor of London a ceremony that goes back to the middle of the 14th century. Upon election the Lord mayor has a fantastic pageant through the streets of City on the 10 November 2018.
